AN IMPORTANT ROSEWOOD AND SILVER MOUNTED WALKING CANE, PREVIOUSLY BELONGING TO MICHAEL COLLINS, 36 ¼" high (92cm), sold with letter of provenance from the vendor.
Provenance: Collection of John Cormack. John (Jack) Cormack was a driver for Michael Collins and was shot in the leg and hand at Red Cow, c.1921 (exact date unknown). Collins gave Cormack the stick and it has remained in the family since. Jack Cormack's granddaughter, Sinead, inherited it be descent.
