Arthur David McCormick RI, 1860-1943 GATHERING BEANS Oil on canvas, 20'' x 28'' (51 x 71 cm), signed. Exhibited: Royal Society of British Artists 1899, No.55 (illus p.5) Provenance: The Gorry Gallery, Dublin, April/May 1988 A landscape and figure painter in oil and watercolour. Born in Coleraine, he travelled widely after his studies at the RCA. Throughout his career he exhibited at the main London galleries of the RA and RI. He also exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin.
